Tortuga Bed & Breakfast only uses organic fruit and vegetables grown in the in-house garden and greenhouse, and therefore provides guests tastier, more wholesome food.

Visitors can feel good knowing that they are staying at a socially responsible hotel which understands that caring for the surrounding rural communities is important, both to give youths a chance at a better future, and to maintain the attractiveness of the tourist destination. The hotel actively contributes to the Hope Project School in Lijiang County, and the donations provide children with much-needed supplies like pens, tbooks and school clothes.
