- Return to Praia at the end of the day tour at about 17h00 (if taking the 2 day tour, you will arrive back at 14h00).

Diving in Tarrafal

Duration: 1 day(s) - Location: Santiago Island

During your dive you will see maritime life such as moray, lobster and other crustaceous, starfish, sharks, fish balloon, manta rays, and many more. For those people that never dived or have not done it for a long time, you can also take our intensive course "Discover Scuba Diving", which takes about 2-3 hours before heading off on the diving expedition.

1 Day Tour:

- Transfer from Praia to Tarrafal
- Presentation at Eco Sport Service
- Initial briefing for safety
- Transfer by boat to dive area
- First dive takes place in the morning
- Return to the village for lunch
- Second dive takes place in the afternoon
- Return to the village and transfer to Praia

2 Day Tour:

- Transfer from Praia to Tarrafal
- Presentation at Eco Sport Service
- Initial briefing for safety
- Transfer by boat to dive area
- First dive takes place in the morning
- Return to the village for lunch
- Afternoon is free to explore the village
- Second dive takes place at night
- Overnight stay at Tarrafal's village
- 3rd dive in the morning
- Return to Praia after lunch


Participant guidelines

People may be forbidden to dive if they:

- Have health problems, especially respiratory issues
- Are excessively overweight
- Are elderly

Is not recommendable to dive if people:

- Will be taking a flight less than 12 hours after diving
- Will hike or climb a mountain with more than 530 metres of altitude

It is recommended (in case of any difficulties during diving) to not take any flights at least 18 hours after dive, just in case.
