Coral Watching
The natural conditions of this bay and the absence of ocean currents makes this zone a safe place to view this natural wonder. The coral ecosystem is well known to provide various medicinal remedies, and also serves to protect the coastline against erosion. This activity can be done all year round, and gives tourists the opportunity to view and learn more about the maritime life of the coastline.
This excursion is only realized with high water.
After 1 hour travel with local transportation, the guide will give participants a briefing about the characteristics of the area, the marine biology, the function of the coral, threats to its conservation, typical species found in the area, and how to ensure no negative impacts are left as a result of the activity. You can then enjoy 25 minutes of snorkelling.
Participant guidelines
Participants are provided with diving mask, air-pipe and life vest, and all measures are taken to ensure a safe activity for all. This activity is for a maximum of 4 people, and snorkelling can only take place during high tides.
